Access NoteAlthough the Schomburg Center itself has longer hours, the Manuscripts, Archives and Rare Books Division is closed on Sunday and Monday, and open 12 noon to 6:00 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday, and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Researchers planning to visit the Manuscripts, Archives and Rare Books Division should first call the Center and/or consult the online Archives Portal to determine which collections/boxes they will need to use. Then make an appointment by filling out the online registration form. Bring a valid id when visiting the Mss. Division.
