Access NoteThe Archive was founded and developed under the auspices of the Barringer High School Alumni Association, and was shaped and managed by former Principal Pat Restaino, with assistance from Barringer alumni and others. Some of the oldest material in the Archive was rescued by Pat Restaino from offices in Barringer's Parker St. building (opened in 1907) only days before that building was demolished in 1965. Other donations came from Restaino's personal collection and the collections of former Barringer students and faculty.


In addition to its archival collections, the archive holds complete, or near complete, runs of yearbooks, magazines, newsletters, programs, and other school publications; a small selection of books; and a collection of trophies and other artifacts. It does not have regular hours, but is open by appointment.
