Documents: Transcripts of hearings before the Board include: a disciplinary hearing on charges of serving alcohol to a minor (1950); three transcripts of proceedings regarding transfers of a liquor licenses (1957, 1962, and 1965); proceedings regarding serving liquor to a minor (1965); testimony regarding an application for a liquor license (1956); a disciplinary hearing on charges of permitting a brawl (1951); and disciplinary charges regarding the West End Club and the Essex County Hunting and Fishing Club (1963).
Photographs: The collection includes a large number of black and white photographs showing exteriors and interiors of premises selling or serving alcoholic beverages in Newark. These include liquor stores, taverns, small neighborhood bars, restaurants, and clubs. The images also include details of street scenes, such as pedestrians, vehicles, billboards and signs, etc. A few images are of interiors, with employees. Some of these photographs are labeled with or show the address of the premises, and there are multiple copies of many of the photographs. One photo is an image of a posted "Notice of Application" for transfer of a liquor license to Antoinette Cappiello. A postcard shows the Co-operative Family Association premises at 853 Summer Avenue. Also included are copies of "special tax stamp[s]" issued to retail liquor dealers, Max Fox, Meyer Ehrich, George Dzama, Paul Boehm, and the Co-Operative Family Association, Inc. all issued in 1934, and a few police mug shots, with the individuals' information on the back.
