Amzi Dodd (1823-1913) of Newark and Bloomfield, a distinguished lawyer and Vice Chancellor of the State of New Jersey; became president of the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company, Newark, in 1882 He was the nephew of Newark lawyer and legislator Amzi Dodd (1793-1838).
