The Account Book (ca. 1890?) includes entries for city-owned properties, with addresses, map references, measurements, original date of purchase, purchase price, and seller's name. Included are entries for the City Armory; the Alms House; the Boys Lodging House or Old Market Street School; the Public Burial Ground; City Hall and Police Station; City Dock; Engine Houses Nos. 1, 2, and 11, and other Fire Department property; Fire Department equipment, animals, etc.; the City Hospital; Markets; city parks; police stations; and schools. On page 98 is a sketch map of streets between Mt. Pleasant Avenue and the Passaic River.
